MY TOP TEN FILMS OF 2001

It was hard to find ten films this year...

1.  MOULIN ROUGE
The most visually stunning film I've seen in long time.

2.  MOMENTO
One of the best written films of the year.

3.  HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH
This is the second most visually stunning film I've seen in a long time.

4.  AMELIE
Great story telling, with little need for much dialogue.

5.  OCEAN'S 11
A fun, fast-paced film that doesn't take itself too seriously.

6.  BLOW
Saw it on video late one night and was blown away.

7.  BANDITS
The worst ad campaign of the year, cause it's really a good movie.

8.  THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS
It was only on the second viewing that I really dug this film, but I still liked RUSHMORE better.

9.  MONSTER'S INC.
I don't know why.  It just stuck with me.

10.  SHREK
I don't know why either.  It just made me feel like a kid again.

here's my 11-20 (IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER)

The Anniversary Party

Brigitt Jones Diary

Ghost World

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

In the Bedroom

Legally Blonde

Lord of the Rings

Mulhulland Drive

The Others

Zoolander

 And Finally...

WORST FILM OF THE YEAR

A.I. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE –  One of Steven Spielberg's worst films in my opinion, mainly because of the writing.  I would have lost a few of those endings.
